Pam Arlotto
Former HIMSS President and Advisor to CCHIT

Pam ArlottoA former Big Five Executive, Pam has worked with clients in geriatric, acute, and sub-acute environments; home health agencies; rehabilitation centers; wellness centers; ambulatory clinics; large and small physician groups; and long term care facilities. In addition, she has served managed care companies and health care professional associations. She has facilitated multidisciplinary teams of provider and employer members of business coalitions. She continues her history of working with providers to optimize their investments in information technologies, and works extensively with those who serve the industry including information technology vendors, architectural and construction companies, and consulting firms.

Pam has facilitated sessions for HRDI, HIMSS, HFMA, CHIME, CHIM and a number of software user groups. Pam obtained her Bachelor of Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, her MBA from Georgia State University, and has served as an Assistant Professor in Health Informatics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Pam is on the Board of Advisors for the Dupree Center of Entrepreneurship, a former Trustee of the Georgia Tech Alumni Association, and on the Board of MedShare International.

Bruce Flareau
VP of Physician Alignment and CMIO of BayCare Health System

Bruce FlareauDr Flareau is Vice President of Physician Alignment and Chief Medical Informatics Officer for BayCare Health System. Prior to his stepping into this role in 2007 Dr Flareau was the Vice President of Medical Education for Morton Plant Mease Health Care, where he also developed and served as Program Director of their Family Medicine Residency program. He has over 20 years of clinical practice experience with expertise in undersea medicine, is an affiliate professor of the University of South Florida, and has published many book chapters and journal articles in the healthcare field. As a Certified Physician Executive and fellow of the American College of Physician Executives (ACPE), he has spoken on topics including clinical, academic, administrative, and IS related areas. He obtained his MD from Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY, completed his Family Medicine Residency at Bayfront Medical Center in Florida and has completed several academic and administrative fellowships.

Lindsey Jarrell
Senior VP and CIO of BayCare Health System

Lindsey JarrellLindsey Jarrell is the Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer at BayCare Health System. BayCare is a ten-hospital community owned health system serving the Tampa Bay Area. He has extensive experience in health care and information technology in the areas of strategic planning, process redesign, IT assessments, and implementations of large-scale technology solutions for hospitals and physicians. Lindsey has a Master and Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration.

Lindsey has co-lead the planning and deployment the physician e-linkage strategies for BayCare including the EMR, interface and support services being offered to 2700+ physicians.

Jay Wolfson
Professor of Public Health and Medicine; Associate VP of Health Law, Policy and Safety for USF Health of University of South Florida

Jay WolfsonJay Wolfson is the Distinguished Service Professor of Public Health and Medicine and the Associate Vice President for Health Law, Policy and Safety at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He is a leader in Florida’s attempt to develop an electronic health network and a member of the governing board of the Health Professions Education Consortium of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. He directs the federally designated Suncoast Center for Patient Safety at USF and is co-director of the Consortium for Law and Medicine for USF and Stetson College of Law. Dr. Wolfson became nationally known while serving as guardian ad litem for Terry Schiavo, reporting to the governor and courts. He holds a doctorate in public health from the University of Texas, a law degree from Stetson, a master’s degree in public health from Indiana University, a master’s degree in history from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Illinois. He was a Senior Fulbright Scholar at the University of Tokyo Medical School, a Faculty Scholar to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and a W.K. Kellogg Fellow in health care finance.

Stephen Patterson, MD
Associate Member, Chief Medical Information Officer and Medical Director of Infusion Center of H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute

Lindsey JarrellStephen Patterson, MD has practiced medical oncology for over 11 years. In his present positions at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer center, Dr. Patterson is currently the chief medical information officer, medical director of Infusion Center and associate member. Dr. Patterson is heavily involved in cancer research and has numerous publications for his work in oncology research as well as medical informatics. Dr. Patterson is the chair of HIMSS Record Steering Committee, an active member of the American Medical Informatics Society, as well as various medical oncology organizations. Dr. Patterson is a recognized member of the American Registry of Outstanding Professionals. Prior to his work at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, Dr Patterson had a medical oncology private practice.

Margaret Breland Watkins
Manager of Clinical Operations of H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute

Jay WolfsonMargaret Watkins, RN BSN bring over 20 years of clinical nursing experience to her current position as clinical operations manager for the Cutaneous Oncology Center, GYN Oncology Clinic and Neuro Oncology/Neuro Surgery Clinic at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center. Margaret manages a staff of 24 and oversees the day-to-day operations of these very busy clinics to ensure patient satisfaction, operational efficiencies, and staff satisfaction. Margaret is the co-leader of the Medical Reconciliation facility wide project. During her four years at Moffitt, Margaret was instrumental in the redesign of H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center’s BMT program which included the building of a new clinic, outpatient clinic and outpatient treatment center and apheresis unit. She designed the EMR process to document total body photography. Prior to work at Moffitt cancer Center, she was the director of Clinical Services at US Oncology Central Florida Management. In this position, she was responsible for the start up of a in-network infusion pharmacy, was chair of the Form Committee and HIPPA privacy officer.
